Brain health hub content
I was approached to help Alzheimer’s Research UK develop content for its brain health hub, to support the charity’s public awareness campaign, Think Brain Health. I was commissioned to produce several blog posts that would expand on the campaign’s tips for keeping your brain healthy.
The objective: To engage a target audience of people in midlife, with copy that was positive – celebrating what our brains do for us – and accessible, yet rooted in the latest scientific evidence.
The solution: I worked with experts in dementia research to ghost-write five posts on a range of subjects linked to brain health including diet, blood pressure and the impact of keeping connected with others. Each post was tailored for the target audience, with practical tips people could use in their own lives, and the science explained in clear, accessible language.
The result: Facing a busy lead-up to launch, the team could populate the campaign hub with content that also supported an onward journey to keep people engaged with the topic. Think Brain Health is one of the charity’s most successful awareness campaigns to date.
“I’d definitely recommend working with Kirsty! Knowing that these important pieces of content were in safe hands was hugely helpful, freeing up capacity and head space for other tasks.
“Kirsty clearly cares about getting it right just as much as we do in house. Her careful, thoughtful approach makes her a fantastic extension of the team.”
